Breakfast: citrus salad, banana pancakes with caramel syrup, quiche with peppers and cheese. I am already missing this wonderful morning start...... Dan yells up to my window, hey New York come and say good bye we will miss this wonderful host
We head south , passing the vineyards... hoping we will return someday( but doubtful that will happen ). We stop in Sausalito last trip here was over 30 years ago .We explore the town, shop, eat and wonder where is the bridge. Fog is draped over the landscape even though it's afternoon. As we head in, it emerges from the clouds, the Golden Gate
When checking in to our hotel the clerk tells me it's my lucky day, I am the guest of the day. He hands me the key and smiling says " you will like this surprise". We head up to the top floor, the Stone Suite. Oh my... it is lavish. We decide to stay in until dinner just enjoying the luxury of the space and the views
At night we meet Michael's "frat " brother , an interesting, personable young man who works for Bloomberg. We enjoy a Cajun dinner with him on Mission street, great conversation from this Buffalo Bill devoted fan. We drive him back to his place on the North end ( I love his Italian neighborhood- Joe Dimaggios former hangout). We take a quick car ride up and down the city. Good night San Francisco.
We are hoping to say Hello NY but Jose may have other plans for us. Natural disasters have been an element in this vacation, fires in Canada created fog and mist and some fallen ash in Seattle, Portland 's great gorge and waterfall were on fire preventing our visit there, and now NY is getting severe weather after we worried about Irma's path for days. Ah Mother Nature , you are shaking up these seniors
Silver object was a spoon rest

That room looks amazing. I remember when you took us to San Fran when we were younger.
