Barcelona Spain, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands
After a fantastic buffet breakfast at our hotel, took an 8 hour private tour (just the two of us) with Mariusz Levy. He grew & went to college in Poland, married a Venezuelan who is a chemical engineer, and moved to Barcelona. Spoke great English.

Tour took us all around Barcelona including the Roman areas including columns from the forum, the Middle Ages winding streets that reminded us of Italy with the gothic architecture, and the more modern areas .

Highlight was Sagrada Familia or sacred family designed by Antonio Gaudi. Church includes 8 towers of the 18 scheduled. Started in 1880s and should be done in 2026. Too much to describe.

Always visited Park Guell which includes Gaudi's home & shows his style.

Walked thru La Ramblas - large central shopping area that seems like a boardwalk. Many shops are for tourists. We bought three Gaudi Sagrada Familia bottle openers. We need a name. Also includes a fabulous market with fruit, fish, pastries, etc. an experience just walking thru.

Went thru the 1992 Olympic Stadium.

Walked several blocks & found a tapas restaurant. Ordered sausage, prawns, tomato bread, goat cheese stuffed mushrooms, and Greek salad. Washed it down with sangria. Total bill was 39,50. Euros

Walked thru shopping centers that locals may go to. Each got over 20,000 steps on our Fitbit

Bueno! Is that the church that looks like a sand castle where you drop wet sand on it? Nan will know what I am talking about. Love Sangria!
