From the mountain village of Stepantsminda it would be a six hour colectivo journey to the spa town of Borjomi, followed by a two night stopover in Akhaltsikhe, near the Turkish frontier. Elenka’s photo collection starts with the sheep on the road to Borjomi, is followed by a tourist-less walk-thru of Rabati Fortress, then finishes with a visit to the ancient monastery of Vardzia.

Certainly, from the photographs this has to be one of the most spectacular trips you've taken.

Looks amazing. I have friends that go to Georgia to sing with local folk musicians. I have sung Georgian music quite a bit as the choir I was in was led by them and they have studied this type of music extensively. It's amazing to hear.
