What a busy morning, trying to get organised amongst the debris and dust of our recent renovation process. We are taken to the airport by our neighbours,we have packed judiciously,
I would have to say that this has been the leanest pack I have ever ventured forth with.
We negotiate some seating issues and celebrate the fact that our upgrade to Business Class is successful.Smooth sailing and we actually have some sleep between Sydney and Dubai.
We had a three hour stop over in Dubai then on to London,a further 7 1/2 hours.
We arrive at Heathrow at 10 am to a bright sun shining day.
After lining up at immigration for about 45 minutes,we meet a wonderful fellow who welcomes us with friendly banter and verifies our documentation then wishes us well we are off to a good start!
Straight out we walk straight to the taxi rank and hop into a cab and head for our destination.
Our cab driver is friendly but not intrusive,he points out places of interest and suggests points of interest and protocols that would be helpful.
The sun is shining ,everything looks wonderful just like the cover of a jig saw puzzle ,just what I had expected.
We arrive at our apartment, feeling a little whacked ,but ready to face our adventure.
We meet Brian ,Jean's partner, who owns the apartment,he shows us the facility ad wishes us well and leaves us to it.
The apartment is small but beautifully appointed with quality aspects we find very satisfactory.
We unpack a few things then head out to explore.
We could not have chosen better as we are so centrally located with access to the major attractions.Train stations at the ready as well as activities that can be accessed by Shank's Pony.
We collect our supplies from Tesco ,Sainsburys et al and head back via a stop off at a local pub.
A quick session of viewing, and we decide that we really need to go to bed so we open our windows and head for bed, absolute bliss.
