Phase 2 the move from London to Cornwall

Cornwall, United Kingdom
Another beautiful day,we organise ourselves early and head out for a coffee.Very quiet around Fitzrovia but great to feel crisp air partnered with sunshine, bliss.
We leave our keys in the apartment, move our luggage downstairs there is a lift and catch a cab to Marble Arch to collect our hire car .
Sat Navs are great but you need to be aware of road works and disruptions due to political rallies etc..,we survived and headed for the M4 heading towards Slough and Reading. The traffic was quite heavy but the road system was very effective and the high profile of the constabulary supported smooth movement. We are so overwhelmed by green ,at least fifty different varieties, the countryside is an absolute visual feast. We can see some of the quaint little villages from the motorway but our objective was to head for our base then plan our visits accordingly.
We travelled 265 miles and arrived at Looe Hill,Seaton,Torpoint,Cornwall,at Mount Brioni Holiday Apartments at about 4.30.
Idyllic position to say the least and we look out onto the English Channel and it is chlorine blue and as calm as can be.People are swimming and the fishing boats are out, families enjoying the great weather are sitting in parks,on the beach and frequenting the establishments available to them.
We throw our luggage into the apartment and head out to collect some supplies .
We quickly realise that we should have done this before our arrival but we welcomed the opportunity to have a chat with some of the locals. We travelled to Downderry ,visited the local grocery store, purchase a couple of items then walked to the Inn on the Shore, well Faulty Towers extraordinaire.
Enjoyable but we were slightly peckish so we headed back to our area and ordered Cod and Chips from the Smugglers Inn. We chatted to locals and patted a menagerie of doubtfuliy pedigreed dogs.
We return to the abode, watch a trashy retro movie, fight with the door lock and head for bed.
Another hugely rewarding day but great to be by the sea!
We have some planning to do to ensure that we make the most of our time here.
While the traditional industries of fishing, farming and tin mining have long been in decline, tourism in Cornwall is booming and the country is currently reinventing itself as a haven for culture and the arts, with a clutch of world class attractions such as the Eden Project and National maritime museum in Falmouth.
Cornwall is just over 50 miles wide at its broadest ,near the Devon Border, and it's only 77 miles from Penzance to Plymouth, just across the Tamar from Cornwall ,so it appears that you are never far from the coast and the main attractions.

Hey Jan and Bernie,
My recollection of Cornwall is that they are all characters out of Faulty Towers -that is the charm! Relax, join in and enjoy.
