London, United Kingdom
Today we walked to St Paul's Cathedral.
We headed out and set off down Tottenham Court Road, down to New Oxford Road into High Holborn abroad crossing the Holborn Viaduct, passing the Old Bailey into Newgate to St Paul's Cathedral .
It is a warm day and the walk was very pleasant .This was not a tourist fest!
It was interesting passing the Old Bailey as there were Journalists and cameras everywhere and we have just found out that it was the presentation of the verdicts designating that Andy ,Coulson, former editor of News of The World newspaper, has been declared guilty and Rebekah Brookes and her husband have been cleared of phone hacking misdemeanours.

The deliberations are still continuing this afternoon .Andy Coulson had been employed by 10 Downing Street as an advisor to the Prime Minister.
The television is full of it and no doubt the press will be full of this news also.Never a dull moment!
St Paul's Cathedral towers over Ludgate Hill and has been a place of worship for over 1400 years.
St Paul's Cathedral is one of London's most majestic structures
St Paul's was built between 1675 and 1710 by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of1666.
Four other cathedrals on this site ,the first dating from 604, preceded it .
The dome has survived the bombs during the Blitz of WWII and became known as an icon of the resilience shown in the capital during the crisis.
Inside ,some 30m above the main paved area,is the first of three domes, actually a dome inside a cone, inside a dome, supported by eight huge columns.
The crypt has memorials to up to 300 military demigods, including Wellington,Kitchener, and Nelson.the most poignant memorial is to Sir Christopher Wren himself.
It is a stunning Cathedral and the audio visual support and the commentaries are of excellent quality.
We were very impressed and humbled by its beauty and enormity. We leave the Cathedral and head back towards the Smithfield Markets. We had watched a very interesting show on SBS about these famous markets so we decided to take a look. They are only open on Wednesdays and the weekend.Never mind it was good to see where they were.
We had a snack for lunch and headed up Farringdon Road and turned into Calthorpe Street into Guilford Street, through Russell Street Square,Montague Street to Tottenham Court Road then home.
We had walked a long way and we were keen to rest the feet as we are going to a stage show at 6.30. We have tickets to see The Commitments.
Tomorrow evening we are flying to Dubai, heading for another adventure.
