Air Itam, Penang, Malaysia
Yesterday we took a 101 bus to the Jetty in Georgetown to book our tickets on the train to Kuala Lumpur.
We did this last year and thoroughly enjoyed it even though it takes 6 hours .
We booked First Class and because we are both over 55 it cost about $25 Australian, return each. You cannot complain about that!.
We are going down next Monday 11 and returning on the 15th.We are staying at The Parkroyal which is very central and close to monorail and public transport aspects.
Today we collected a car and headed out to the Spice Garden, had a coffee and booked a table for dinner for tomorrow evening at the Monkey Tree restaurant.
Whilst we were having our coffee this morning ,monkeys were eating nuts from a tree and dropping them on the patrons at the restaurant.Tomorrow evening will be interesting !
We then headed out to Tesco to collect some supplies.
Life is much quieter this week as the children are back at school and the holiday period is over. The traffic is subdued and the shopping centres are sedate and calm.
Tomorrow we are heading off around the island and heading to Bukit Jambul to the Kamdah fabric shop.
Today was a little clearer but the smoke has filtered back later this afternoon.
