Another hazy day and this weekend is a national holiday so there are many families on the move.
We have not seen a great deal of sun this week,it has been very warm and humid,really on the sticky side! .
We are heading off to lunch with Laurie and Janet from Tasmania and Beverly and Tyrone from Brisbane.We are going to the Flamingo Hotel for the buffet lunch.
Being a National holiday I am sure it will be very busy.
Last week we visited a wonderful boutique hotel and restaurant in the heart of Georgetown.
Seven Terraces is s luxury boutique accommodation and it is a group of renovated shophouses and they are stunning.
The restaurant Kebaya,was stunning.The ambience was outstanding.This is an authentic Nyonya establishment and next year when we return I will organise to celebrate Bernie's birthday here.
The furniture,artwork and associated artefacts are well placed and authentic .
It is an absolute visual feast.The menu is stunning also.

Establishments like Seven Terrraces are cropping up all around Georgetown ,and the authentic attention to detail and respect for the historical aspect is commendable.
Georgetown is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the development in some areas is quite stunning .
We had our lunch at The Flamingo Hotel and it was quite a sedate quiet activity which was very enjoyable.
A buffet of local and western food,well presented and the local food was prepared for you on request.
We caught a 101 bus there and returned the same way.
It is a national holiday here today and there was a great deal of celebration going on at the apartments last night.All visitors will be packing up and going home today so hopefully it will be a little quieter.
We have had wonderful sunsets but the sun has been sparce over the past few days.
Today is our last day so I am tidying up the apartment,packing the case,this time we are leaving shoes,hats and holiday clothing in storage so we do not have to be continually bringing the items back with us.This is very convenient for us as long as we have a record of what we are leaving behind.
We fly to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow and stay the night.
We then fly to Sydney on Wednesday morning and stay in Sydney Wednesday and fly home to the ACT on Thursday morning.
