A seriously low key day.

Point Lonsdale, Victoria, Australia
We check out of the Mantra in Lorne, largely unwashed as neither of us have managed to work out how to drive the electronic gizmo powering the hot water. The $6.50 charge for two hours of internet has also rankled, especially when we find it for free in the burger joint across the road. It is a serious dent in my booking record.
However, the room has been comfortable and location good .

We slowly wind our way across the Bellarine Peninsula to Point Lonsdale for a night. The afternoon is spent walking through Queenscliff and I locate one (and only one) pelican for Catharine, cementing my legendary tour guide status even further!

We shop a little. We sip cool drinks.

We spend a couple of very pleasant hours catching up with fellow glass artisan David and his wife Karen before a delightful dinner at Queenscliff's Shelter Shed.

"Have the beef satay" says the owner/chef.
"I've only got the gado gado on there for the vegetarians. All vegetables. The beef's so much better!"

And it is.
