Boxing Day - Departure Day

Heron Island Resort, Queensland, Australia
It's my last chance, so I rise following Hilary at 4.45am to see the sunrise and any turtles - mature or hatchlings - returning to the water.
Various friends spot the time stamp on the Facebook photo and wonder how this can be physically possible.
"Did you just stay up a tad later than normal?" they write...
The weather has cleared and there will be three snorkeling trips heading out today. Alas, we are on the (only) 10am ferry back to Gladstone this morning so our underwater adventures have been limited to just the one on our first day. Such a pity.
There is a three hour wait at Gladstone airport for our flight and then the return sequence back to Melbourne. Arriving home after 11pm makes for a very long day so it's no surprise that no unpacking or washing has been done today - Thursday 27/12. A "Chat 10 Looks 3" podcast proves an excellent lullaby for a three hour afternoon nap so will require a repeat play tomorrow!
But the decision to visit the Barrier Reef again is an easy one. Ideally one with better transport connections - or a decision to splurge on a seaplane!
And outsourcing Christmas catering is a fine idea! Might just do it for NYE as well!!!
