In Delhi for the F1

New Delhi, India
We've all heard stories about the poverty in India but I have to say I was gobsmacked...and not in a good way. I don't know what was worse, the traffic of the beggars. They are both in the road, oh and on the footpaths as well....I'm so looking forward to riding a bike in it!

It's another place with no traffic rules . The way they drive makes you think that they are oblivious to any other road user, but it all seems to work, the only other road user treated with respect are the cows and it would appear that they have invited their friends the goats and pigs along as well.

I'm only here for a couple of days to see the F! and pick up my rental bike, it's a 500cc Royal Enfield. I've gone for the modern one with electric start and gears on the left.

The F1 is by Indian standard very expensive, £150 for a 3 day ticket for the main grandstand. That's what I've got so I'm right on the start line, I'm very nearly opposite the podium and slightly higher as well so I'm looking forward to the end of tomorrows race, see the piccies for a better explanation.

So today was the qualifying, it's all over in an hour and there isn't really any action going on, just the odd car going by!!!

You can't hear the commentary either, there isn't anything else going on so that's it for today, for those who have been on Mars Vettell is on pole...again!

Er, no picces yet as I've left my camera in Delhi...
