Ambala City, Haryana, India
Left New Delhi heading towards Amritsar, it's about 350 miles so I'm doing it over two days (Not any more I'm not!)

Words can't describe Delhi, you really have to see it for yourself . The squalor is unbelievable. I'll leave it at that...
The traffic is also something else, the worst place I've ever ridden a bike. I got hit twice on the 15 KM journey to the hotel...doesn't bode well for the rest of the journey!

Roughly half way between Delhi & Amritsar is a town called Ambala City, it's famous for nothing apart from it's open sewers.....I got there about 4.30 and rode around looking for a hotel which were few and far between. I was the only white man in town, I was getting stared at a lot which was a little unsettling. I eventually found a hotel, checked in and grabbed what can only be loosely described as a shower...
Went for dinner at 7.30, ordered a beer and was told that I would have to go next door to a separate bar/restaurant. So after having my dinner I went next door, I walked into the bar which was quite empty, I looked around and on my left was a group of about 15 blokes who were all staring at me, they were all dark skinned and a few had turbans on so all clearly locals....
So I said hello to them, they all said hello back, in a strong Welsh accent....
Turns out the were mainly from Swansea & Cardiff with a couple of them from Bristol & Portsmouth. They were in town because one of the guys (Nimbo) had a son & daughter with him, the son had got married on the 27th and the daughter is getting married in the 1st. I had a few beers with them all and Nimbo very kindly asked me to stay for the wedding. So Amritsar is on hold for a few days!

I'll post photos when I get better internet.
