Three weeks ago we were due to be in southern Spain staying in Jerez and looking forward to Andalusian delights in particular a revisit to the Spanish Riding School but perhaps even more to some winter sun, an overload of Flamenco and some serious one on one time with a book or six. 

We were lucky that our entirely randomly chosen dates meant that had we been due to leave just a day or two earlier there’s a certainly we’d have arrived straight to lockdown and the difficulty of getting back and perhaps staying safe in an unfamiliar city.
