I have some news from a friend of mine that many readers and desktop travelers may be interested in. This friend is going on a trip that even has me envious... even though she invited me to go along with her almost a year ago. I declined for several reasons. First, I thought she was nuts. Second, I didn´t think she could pull it off...lots of stuff about permits blah blah blah. Third, I knew I would still be somewhere in South America when she wanted to leave..and I was right. And Finally, I thought she was nuts. And she is in a way... introducing Jamie Bradish from Ypsilanti, Michigan... also known as THE GREAT WALL NUT. Jamie will be leaving for China in early May to take on the entire 1800 miles (2880 km)of THE GREAT WALL! Another travel web sight has named her one of the top rogue travelers for 2006! Her attempt to hike the entire wall will put her in a rare category, as only a few have completed it successfully. Her pre-trip entries and eventually, the hike itself is documented at her web sight.
