The Paris of South America

Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Buenos Aires!!! Said to be the Paris of South America because the city is so much more European than it is Latin American.
Even the people appear more European than their south american cousins ... with lighter skin and bright colored eyes. In fact, most people here have no idea I am a tourist until I speak... I just blend in. It's also a huge city as well which means it's been taking me a while to get to the different neighborhoods and do the touristy things like taking photos. One thing is for sure, I have not gone hungry as every night seems to be a feast of famous Argentinian beef and red wine, followed by an ice cream for desert that is as good or better than anything back home. If anyone back in the USA can consult a doctor for me, I need to know how many times a week I can eat a steak lunch and dinner. Something tells me the healthy answer is not 14.

I have also been out a few times with my friend Karina, who I met in Jericoacoara Brazil when she was on vacation there back in March. She lives here in BA and has been showing me around town a couple times a week. So I've seen a little of the city's night life as well as a tango show at a famous downtown cafe. But more on that later. For now, I still have some stuff to see and do by day, including going to the US embassy to have more pages added to my passport. It's just about full of entry and exit stamps.
