Phnom Penh, Krŏng Phnum Pénh, Cambodia
After visiting the south, I came back to Phnom Penh to return my motorbike...only to rent a better one.
My new bike sits higher and has a more padded seat which means it's ten times more comfortable ....plus it's just plain cool.  So off I went again, this time heading up north. I am now officially in my own fantasy world of playing National Geographic photographer as I seek out Cambodia's most elusive photographic opportunities. Thanks to the motorcycle, I am seeing parts of Cambodia that most people never will. The villagers outside the touristy areas are extremely friendly and usually just smile and stare at me like I am a freak. The little kids scream hello, which I think is the only english word they know. I also ran into an Australian girl I met in Nicaragua in 2004. Back then, I was a hiking guide for Quetzaltrekkers in Leon and she went on our full-moon hike up Volcan Telica. It's pretty wild to run into someone like that on this side of the planet.

So here are some more photos of Cambodian life. I'm now back in Phnom Penh and I am walking again....no more motorbike. I only have a few more days to kill before I head to the border and I need to do laundry and crap like that. Until I move on, I need to have a better look around the capital city......check out these photos.
