Are we there yet? YES!

Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan
Upon arrival at Narita International Airport we disembarked, retrieved luggage and cleared customs without too much fuss. We bought tickets for the Keisei Skyliner express train to Ueno, went into a convenience store and bought some snacks then boarded the train.
Just under an hour later we changed trains at Ueno for an underground train to Asakusa, then at last we took our first steps outdoors into The Real Japan. "It's just like in the movies!", said an awestruck Angus.
Being fairly late and with the markets closed we took the opportunity to pose for a photo under Asakusa's famous Kaminarimon gate with very few other people around.
Our ryokan was just a short walk from Kaminarimon and we were all very happy to be THERE at last! Family Hotel Kamogawa proved to be a delightful little find - nothing glamorous, but a cosy, clean and welcoming place to stay. The boys were delighted with the room and after checking it out thoroughly they both went to sleep fairly soon after laying down on their futon.
