A Rickshaw ride, then sushi for dinner.

Kaminarimon, Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan
Back at Asakusa we encountered some young men who were offering jinrikisha (rickshaw) rides of various lengths around the area. We decided to take a short ride and were duly bundled into a rickshaw pulled by a delightful guy whose name was 'Fukui' - also the name of the city where I stayed as an exchange student all those years ago! It was great fun and Fukui was an excellent guide. The boys cheered him on as he pulled us around, getting very excited whenever he built up some speed.

Later that evening, we had a visitor at the ryokan; Mayumi, a lady who came and did a homestay at our house in Sydney 6 years ago . She was thrilled to see how Angus had grown and to meet Lewis - who I was expecting when she stayed with us - for the first time.

We went out to a kaiten sushi restaurant (where the sushi goes around on a conveyer belt). The sushi chef was a real character and combined with the boys our dinner became a dinner-plus-show which kept us all laughing the entire time.
