Morning in Strahan

Cambridge, Tasmania, Australia
It's morning now and the Plovers are calling and the pile drivers are banging. For a tiny town they can sure make a lot of noise! There were cars going past at midnight but I have no idea where they were going because this is not really a thoroughfare and I would imagine that most of the people here are tourists, here on holidays. There were also a couple of motor bikes roaring up the main street. I guess every town has its Bogans.

There are a lot of Wallabies in Tasmania and yesterday I saw a bit fat one standing by the side of the road . They were also on the menu at the pub last night!
There are road signs warning about them and also a strange sign that warns against very large Kangaroos that can tip your car over. (I'll try and get a photo of that one if I see another one today).

We stopped at a farm yesterday and got some freshly picked raspberries which were delicious so I hope we can get some fresh produce on our way to Cradle mountain today since we need to take most of our own food there.

It rained all last night and is still wet and windy now but it supposed to get better so, fingers crossed!
