Back to Anchorage

Anchorage, Alaska, United States
Breakfast is the Tide Pool's best meal. You can stuff yourself with pancakes (Gordon), or have a subtle blend of home made granola cereals (Beth). We ate well, knowing that the ferry crossing to Homer was fast and flat. There were no whales this time. We visited the Two Sisters again, got charged up on coffee and cakes and then rolled up the road North, towards Anchorage. The little town of Ninilchick we had visited before was now being overwhelmed with Summerfest 2012 -- a two day festival of song and sunshine. The lunch stop at Soldotna allowed us to go over to the Kenai river and see the arrangements made for fishing salmon. Even a novice like me could fish from the riverside walks they put together.
