It took two days to reach Vancouver from Chetwynd, BC is that big. The route follows the Fraser River south, along a plateau of good farming and forest land, some 2 - 3,000 feet up. Eventually the road follows the river through a gigantic gorge as it crashes its way down through the southern mountains and ends up on the plain where Vancouver is. Its a pretty scary road. I did it in the early morning with little traffic. Dodging trucks would make it really hair raising.

Ted and Donna were home when I showed up and treated me to lots of food and washing and catching up . It was lovely to see them and sleep in a home again. I was also able to fix my tires and a tooth that had been bothering me, so now we are ready for the final push across the USA.
