St. Petersburg. Today we had breakfast in our room before our 8:15AM Hermitage Tour departure. When we left the ship we had to go through Russian passport control and turn in a copy of our passport. Seemed to be a formality more than anything else. When we arrived at the Hermitage, the gallery wasn”t too crowed, but by the time we left at noon, you could hardly move. We toured the Winter Palace, Summer Palace and New Palace including Diane’s favorite, the Gold Room. It is wonderful finally seeing everything after reading about the area for years. Had a late lunch at the Seaside Grill and a relaxing afternoon which included the spa/pool, a nap then dinner. Made it an early night due to our 9.5 hour tour on Sunday.
