City Tour

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Day 12 – Left for our City Tour at 745am. Saw most of the major city sites, including 1956 Olympic Stadium and sports complex, Fitzroy Gardens, Shrine of Remembrance (for WWI), Royal
Botanic Gardens, and Southbank area including the small million dollar homes near the ocean. After the tour we walked to Victoria Market for lunch and shopping. It is like a giant flea market and farmers market combined with small unique takeout eateries. Talked to our daughter for the first time since we left and she and her family were in the process of evacuating their home in San Diego due to the fire threat. Later in the day we took our own walking tour of the city which included Federation Square and the art gallery and Southbank along the Yarra River. Must have walked a over 4 miles. Had a pub dinner at The Mint and then collapsed.
