Day 13 – Slept in this morning and then did laundry, had breakfast and caught up on the internet. Had a  130pm to 11pm tour to Phillip's Island. The highlight was watching the Little Penguin Parade (formerly Fairy Penguins) at sunset on the island. These little creatures which are only about 13” tall come out of the ocean every night at sundown in groups (waddles) of approx 10-15 and go ashore to their nests for the night. They return to the sea each day before sun-up. We watched this for an hour-fascinating. We also went to the Koala Conservation Center where we saw many Koalas sleeping in trees since they are nocturnal animals, visited Woolamai surfing beach where an Australian Prime Minister disappeared years ago, and a working farm where they had kangaroos, etc. During the day we also drove by farms that raise deer. Tomorrow it is off to Tasmania.
