Photographer's Paradise ... Gourmand's Wasteland?

Wednesday, September 05, 1990
Ennis, County Clare, Ireland
Last of ASA 200 print film in camera: 1. shot of Dromoland Castle side elevation. 2. shot of Dromoland Castle tower and Irish flag.

Light conditions-- cloudy bright . Taken around 9 a.m. Irish time.

This place must be photographer's heaven. Elegant weathered stone walls everywhere.

Slide film ASA-100: 1. Shot of ruin on Lahinch Golf Course-- overcast, dark, somber lighting.
2. Shot of falls from Falls Hotel, Ennistymon. Town bldgs. & hilltop cemetery in background. Ruined bldg. on top of hill.

Cliffs of Moher fogged in-- rain & gale winds.

Dinner at Queens Hotel. Tried plaice (definitely mediocre Atlantic whitefish) with mashed potatoes (cold & lumpy), cost 3.50 (Irish pounds).
