Well, at Least the Jameson was Authentic

Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland
Started out for Waterford, stopping briefly in Youghal for some photos. Shots of light-house & arch in center of city. Also of fishing boat. Took some photos of sheep in pasture & scenes of water & land of typical Irish beauty on way to Waterford.

Arriving there took Waterford Glass Factory tour & saw some beautiful things, taking photos of several, including huge golf trophy & Book of Kells pages (copies) .

Booked with difficulty into Bridge Hotel in Waterford. (Nothing special, but all we could find). Thanks to Pat’s and Helen’s tenacity & good services of Irish Tourist Board people.

Visited Doolin’s Bar and took photos of interior. After another visit with Mr. Jameson, who Bob ran into in Lonergan’s Bar, we had a meal in a bar which wasn’t exactly great, but the price was right. George asked directions to authentic Irish music & we were steered back to Doolin’s where we sat drinking Irish mineral water and awaiting entertainment by Fiona Roche. She was very pretty, dark, slender colleen, visually pleasing, but musically not worth the wait. She sang three American songs while accompanying herself on the guitar. Audience was loud and unappreciative.
