Breakfast— then off to St. Nicholas Cathedral. On way, saw little girl sitting on wall fishing in canal.

Shots of Cathedral from convent grounds & and from other side of Cathedral . Then one of stained glass rose window inside. 11 a.m. Mass prevented further interior photos.

Picture of white house, dam, falls & fisherman in foreground from Corrib River Bridge. Then shots of fountain & of JFK Memorial in park.

Spanish Arch— swans in river. Conversed with French tourist-photographer at Spanish Arch area (owns 2 Nikons & outfit similar to mine).

Toured museum for 15p each. Curator was Bill Scanlan, whose daughter Cliona is engineer. She designed pontoons on dam, which prevent boats from being swept over. She is now working for large firm in N.Y.

Photo of boat in dock area. Shot of beach across water from Salthill Drive. Shot of light house across Galway Bay.

Returning to Galway stopped at Spiddal shopping area. Helen & Pat spent more money. Helen got coveted Connemara marble claddagh ring. I got shamrock spoon for Shirley Rock [wife of Jerry Rock, owner of Carter’s Drugstore].
