AROUND NATERS AND IT'S HISTORY

Naters, Swiss Alps, Switzerland
Per Wikipedia, Naters is a municipality in the district of Brig in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Naters is first mentioned in 1018 as Nares. Naters has a population (as of December 2012) of 8,457. As you can see, Naters is a small village, tucked away in the mountains of the south of Switzerland. We are staying in one of the city's oldest areas. Even the buildings show signs of age. Here are a few pictures in and around where we are staying... for three weeks.

You have sold Naters to us! Hope we get there one day. It is truly beautiful. I do think I would be hitting my head a lot on those doorways though!

It appears that you are currently not, and I repeat not, available. Anyway Mr. Ronald T. Grimster, at your earliest convenience please feel free to contact me at the above number, 488-SEAL.

Looks like Old Naters lives up to its ruthless reputation. No tray sliding here, that is for sure. As Bri likes to say, a real rip snorter, so to speak. Even Buddy the cat would find this to his liking (post mortem, of course).

I really don't understand. They told me if I grew up to be a CPA, that all would be beautiful in the world. Yet, when I stand so close to people, I know the truth lies in Old Naters. Naked, and exposed, I need to stand close as I can to this place of greatness.

I love it here in ol' Naters. Lovely place. The pet groomers are very nice. My owner spoils me with salmon for lunch on many days. Architecture is lovely, and I love that wooden horse!

This is truly a place with great opportunity. For me, it's been "Operation Bootstrap." I've been working as Grimmy's butler for the past 6 years. He is a kind man.

There is no lovelier placed in the world than Old Naters. With its quiet existence, it represents an LB nirvana. As well, the old barn, shown in the first photo, is where the Duke of Mossy had his way with the innocent Queen Joniletta. As a result, it holds a significant place in history.

We have noticed some activity on this page. For 6 long years, there was nothing updated. Suddenly, there's a flurry of mildly idiotic, yet harmless, commentary. While the 6 year stagger is nothing in comparison to 32 years at DS or even the 57.5 years sans nuptials for grimmy mcbee, it still came as a bit of a surprise. Kindly leave Old Naters alone and get on with the rest of your existence. No shortage as they say.

Well...I was planning on staying hidden and out of the fray, so to speak, I really was. But with all that's going on in Naters these days, I know the subjects in my Kingdom (including my favorites: Kathryn and the Lipton Tea lady) need me to pass along some wisdom. As you may have gathered, the Kingdom was not immune to the Corona-virus, or even any of the other issues that have gripped the world in recent years. I'm well aware that I will never be King again, but please feel free to consult me as you wish... my going rate is fifty shekels an hour... for Elise, I'll do it for thirty five! Sincerely, LMB
