Saturday, 5/31/2014: Today, we woke up to a beautiful sunny day. It was a perfect day to venture out. Heidi and Willi picked us up in their car and drove us over the Simplon-Pass. Our destination was the picturesque, but rugged border town(with Italy) of Gondo. We explored the mountain town and then settled down to eat lunch at a quaint restaurant. After lunch we made our way to Simplon-Dorf, an old mountain town just below the Simplon Pass with a population of 325. Here are a few pictures from our breathtaking Saturday outing...
