Gothenburg, Swedish Lakeland, Sweden
Gothenburg, Thursday, June 5. 2014 After maneuvering through the narrows of the sea from Oslo along the western coast of Sweden, we arrived early in the AM in Gothenburg, Sweden. The weather in the meantime changed for the better since we went south. By 10am the sun was out in full force and we were able to see this second largest city of Sweden on foot. Although we docked in a commercial area we had to take a shuttle bus (at 9am) into the city, which took about 15min. What a picture place. We walked and saw so many places even had fun watching the exited young people graduating from H.S. Since the ship departed at 2pm we had to get back just too soon. One interesting place we visited was the Botanical Gardens.

Now we are on our way south to the next stop: Warnemuende. It looks like a busy route, because we have lots of ships passing us in either direction. Having a balcony is rather interesting and since we are sometimes close to land there is lots to see. Right now, it is 10pm and a gorgeous sunset is in the works. Tomorrow, Friday, sunrise will be at 4:42am and the temperatures should be getting into the 70's. HEATWAVE!!! Also, if all goes as planned, we will be sending out our blog from the last 3 days.
