Monday, 1/4/2016. Today's objective was to explore the SWAN RIVER. With that in mind, off we went early in the morning before the heat turned it's claws on us. We saw a few interesting sites on the way, took a few pictures of some kangaroos and then rented a couple of bikes. After some instructions by the owner, we meandered our way down the river bank on our E - bikes. Well, what did you expect, us to do all the work? But on the other hand, we learned how to ride an E bike on the "wrong" side of the bike path. Don't tell us, an old dog can't learn a new trick. We only got lost once or twice and even had to ask for directions, but we made it back to the bike place in a little under two hours. A little bike excercise and we were famished. Perth has many subterrian food courts. It is in one of those food courts that we had a burrito for lunch. Once we had our fill, a little window shopping was in order and then we went to one of the main grocery stores: Cole's. Late afternoon found us back at our hotel, tired and needing a nap. We just woke up and noticed it was 9:30 PM ! Does this still qualify as a "nap"? Wow, where does all the time go? Anyway, here is our catch of the day in pictures....

2 hour bike ride? You guys are really in shape! I love the pictures of the bell tower --such interesting architecture in Australia . As for the giant emery boards-- I thought they were boomerangs.
