I started off the day heading over to Christiansborg Palace.

I took the elevator up the tower, which offers a nice view of Copenhagen, where you can see several landmarks and even all the way to Malmö, Sweden across the Oresund .

Next, I checked out the Ruins Under Christiansborg, which show the preserved ruins of previous iterations of the castle and the displays tell the history of the castle.

Next I visited the Royal Reception Rooms at the castle. While not quite in the same league as some of the palaces you can see in France or Italy, there was some impressive art and some interesting artifacts on display.

I then headed to the nearby Royal Arsenal Museum, which shows several war artifacts throughout the centuries and details Denmark's war history.

Then I headed north to Stroget, the main pedestrian street which has several shops and cafes along it. Right in that area, you'll also find the Round Tower (Rundetaarn). There's a big spiral ramp leading up to the top, where you get a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. This vantage point isn't as high as the Tower at Christiansborg, but still offers a nice view of the city.

I finished off the day's activities with a canal tour. The tour offered some nice views of the city from the canals and ocean on the east side of Copenhagen and the guide provided commentary on the various locations we passed by.
