The weather was quite nice this day and I thus decided to take in a few outdoor attractions.

I started off by taking the train to Osterport and made my way to the waterfront and walked by The Little Mermaid (Den Lille Havfrue) statue . Being a Sunday, there wasn't a lot of activity in town, but the mermaid, being a big tourist attraction, drew a large crowd.

After taking a quick picture of the statue, I headed over to the Citadel (Kastellet), a preserved star-shaped fortress. I walked through the centre of the citadel, then made my around the path on the ramparts, where several Danes were out for morning walks/jogs.

I then made my way over to Rosenborg Castle. The castle has a very scenic courtyard, which looked especially nice given the sunny weather. The castle's interior housed some interesting historical artifacts and provided information on some of Denmark's royal history. I then took a brief stroll through the botanical gardens across the street, which were also quite scenic.

I then caught the train from Norreport station and made my way up the Zealand coast to Helsingor, where Kronborg castle, home of Shakespeare's Hamlet, is situated. The castle's quite the spectacle, sitting along the coastline, and I went inside to see the various rooms on display. I then ventured down into the casemates, where one will find a statue of Holger the Dane.

On the way back down the coastline, I made a stop at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. The museum had some interesting displays and is situated along a picturesque portion of Zealand's coast.
