New York, New York, United States
This morning, we ventured uptown to The Cloisters museum, a branch of the Metropolitan specializing in European medieval architecture, sculpture, and decorative arts. We walked from the subway station through Tryon Park, which surrounds The Cloisters. It was quite a change of pace from the hustle and bustle of downtown and midtown Manhattan. Tryon Park was quite scenic and offered some great views across the Hudson River. The museum itself was interesting, but not much compared to a lot of medieval museums in Europe.

After going through The Cloisters, we made our way down to Hell's Kitchen to grab a bite to eat, then by Pier 84 to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum . We started off touring through the USS Intrepid, a decommissioned aircraft carrier. The ship was interesting to go through and there were plenty of exhibits and a lot of backstory on the missions it was involved in. We then went to tour the Submarine USS Growler after a fairly lengthy wait. There wasn't much to go through, but it was neat to see the various rooms and the information thereon.
