Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States
After spending Friday night and all of 7 hours at the Comfort Inn in Detroit, we landed in Green Bay at 9:30 am on Saturday. I admit it was nice to see all the green in the fields and the farms scattered around before landing. I couldn't believe how cool it felt, as the last day in Casablanca we spent it was probably close to 85.

My sister picked me up and drove me to my parents' house, where some of my siblings were celebrating an early Mother's Day. When Kelly-dog saw me, she ran up and kept jumping all over me, so I was glad she remembered who I was. I stayed there for awhile (and took a nap on the couch) and then drove my car back to my house in the afternoon.

I couldn't believe how much had changed in the month we were gone. On the morning I left, the grass was still brown and ugly and the trees were without leaves. I pulled into my driveway to a lawn that really needed to be cut, and the hastas were already blooming. I also didn't know who was Idol's Top three (and I'm not surprised) or that Brett Favre was considering playing for the ViQueens. Wow!

Everything looked normal in my house, with the exception of the huge stack of mail sitting on my table, as well as the moldy apple sitting in my fruit basket. I unpacked most of my stuff, did a load of laundry and decided to "lay down" for awhile, which turned into an 11-hour sleep-fest. Kelly was right beside me, so she was apparently tired as well.

Today I went for groceries and discovered my usual route was blocked due to road work. I did more laundry, mowed the lawn, raked some leaves and scrubbed every inch of my suitcase outside on my deck. I felt more productive and not as much in a daze as I did on Saturday. It felt nice being back in a routine, and doing the yard work got me excited for summer and the warm weather to come.

We will see what the rest of the week brings...:)
