So far, so good. 

We are at O'Hare, checked in and just got done eating lunch . Still have a good 90 minutes until our flight takes off. We left my house at about 8 a.m., and I drove Bob and Maude's vehicle to Milwaukee, where we hooked up with the shuttle bus.

It is raining cats and dogs right now. I couldn't believe how much rain was on the ground as we were on the bus on the way to O'Hare. Bob and Dad talked the whole time. 

I checked us in online yesterday and also printed our boarding passes. So because we are carrying on our suitcases, as soon as we arrived at O'Hare we could go straight to security. The line wasn't long at all. The "seniors" were happy because people now age 75 and over do not have to remove their shoes. They said, it pays to be old sometimes!
I had to remove my shoes and put them on the belt. We also were able to leave our quart bag of liquids in our actual bags. Before, they had to be removed.  

So, if all goes as planned, we will arrive in Frankfurt at 7:05 a.m. Friday. It's just over an 8-hour flight, and to me, this won't be bad at all. After landing in Frankfurt, we will take the airport train non-stop to Nuremberg, where we will stay one night.
