Green Bay to Par-eeee

Paris, Île-de-France, France
Everything went smoothly from
getting to Green Bay to Chicago. There was a large downpour near Milwaukee which made driving a little scary, but it was ok. The bus to O’Hare was comfortable but a little slower with traffic on I-94. Security at O’Hare was easy and quick, and I already had my
Boarding pass. I grabbed a bite to eat at Chili’s and boarded the flight.  Because my ticket was an economy fair, I knew I would end up in a middle seat. Fortunately, I sat between two low-maintenance and nice women. Actually, the younger one and her two sisters thought I was in the wrong seat, until they realized that one of them was across the aisle and they weren’t in the same row of three. I glanced up from my phone and was like, hold my beer, while retrieving my boarding pass. Ok, so maybe not that dramatic, but I knew I was not in the wrong seat. :)
The flight was good and I managed to sleep a bit. Drinking a beer with dinner probably helped with that. Dinner was some pasta dish, a salad, a roll (standard airline food) with mango sorbet. Customs in Paris was easy. The dude stamped my passport and didn’t give me a second glance.
Now, heading to Ostende, Belgium for the evening. This is a seaside town where Marvin Gaye lived the final years of his life and also recorded ‘Sexual Healing.’ I remember reading about this in his memoir, and apparently you can take a Marvin Gaye ‘Midnight Love’ tour.
Thanks for reading!
