Ready Mr. Freddy!

The packing is done, the packing is done, the packing is done!
Actually, it was done on Sunday night.

Both bags are packed and ready. One weighs 20 pounds, and the other is 40. The 20-pound bag contains supplies for the orphanage, and it will be the PERFECT bag for souvenirs for the way home! I will also take a carry on that will contain my laptop.

I'm very ready to get out of Dodge for a few weeks. And it just so happens that our driver from San Jose to Manuel Antonio is named "Mr. Freddy."  :)

Tomorrow I need to wrap up a few things at work, then drive to Burlington, where my friend will drive me to O'Hare on Saturday.

My mom, bless her heart, is picking up Kelly-dog tomorrow. Kelly saw the big suitcase the other day. Suitcases to her are not good news. She knows that it means I am going somewhere, but she most likely isn't. Needless to say, she has been pretty clingy the last few days. Following me downstairs, following me upstairs, even following me into the bathroom. But that is where I draw the line.

It still hasn't dawned on me that I'm flying to a foreign country and getting picked up by a total stranger from a volunteer company. I'm not sure if that is a scary thing or if I should be nervous? I don't feel nervous I guess. I don't think this has dawned on my mom either, and that's probably good.

I'm just very excited and ready to be there!!
