O'Hare

Chicago, Illinois, United States
O'Hare is not as busy as I thought it would be. Traffic was good on the way here. Check-in couldn't have been more simple, and I didn't even wait in the security line. The weather is cloudy, but it's not snowing. Everything looks like it's running on time. I couldn't have asked for better weather on the drive down to Burlington yesterday or today. My big bag weighed about 47 pounds. Good thing I could check in two!

Once I got through security, I paid $8 for a yogurt parfait and some bottled water . Lovely. I filled up my Danskin water bottle that I brought along for the plane. I found a nice place to camp out near my gate, K4.

I was a little antsy this morning. I always get that way before flying or going somewhere kind of major. This is the first time I've flown internationally by myself. I'm also putting my trust completely in someone else to be at the airport.

Rhonda snapped this shot of me before checking in, with all my garb.
The next time I post, I will hopefully be in San Jose!

Adios!
Jamie

Don't forget the basketful (I think it was 113) text messages that flew between us while you were waiting for your flight!
