I arrived back at home late Friday morning, as my parents dropped off Kelly-dog. She was pretty excited to see me, and I was excited to see her. The house looked the same. The only difference is that the thin layer of dust had grown a little thicker, and there wasn't any snow.
Yesterday I did some laundry, went grocery shopping and stopped at Bellin FastCare
. The doc said I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. She gave me another, much stronger dosage of Z-pack, along with recommending I rest as much as possible. She figures the traveling and being on the go is what caused this to hang on for so long. Since being home, I have noticed how tired I am. I need to sleep every couple of hours.
Despite not feeling the greatest, being in Costa Rica was wonderful. The people, the beaches, the scenery, the food.....just amazing! The whole trip really could not have gone any smoother. The homestay went great, we didn't lose anything, we weren't mugged, our tours were on time, etc. I'm grateful for all of that. I would definitely recommend to anyone to visit Costa Rica.
I hope you all enjoyed following me along on this journey! It's enjoyable to write and share pictures along the way.
Sometimes when I get home from a trip I get a little bummed out, or go through this "withdrawal" of not being somewhere else. I'm not feeling this way, because I know I'll go somewhere again, hopefully within the next year. I would really like to volunteer again, because I enjoyed being immersed in the culture. I didn't feel like a "tourist" and that was pretty cool. I would also like to keep practicing my Spanish. It improved in Costa Rica, and I would like to get even better with it.
So.....the next time you ask me where my next trip is, who knows what I will say? That's the exciting part. Not knowing where, but knowing it will be someplace fantastic, as there are lots of fantastic places in the world I have yet to discover. :)
Pura Vida!
