T Minus Three (Weeks)

When I got back from Australia in January, I started suffering from PTS, Post-Trip Syndrome, as I like to call it. I'm pretty sure it's not a real medical condition, but it feels like one to me. I had a hard time adjusting to the frigid temps. I also really missed the people I got to know in New Zealand.

So when my friend and I saw this flight and hotel deal to Puerto Rico, we jumped on it! People think I'm a little nuts that I travel so much, but it's what I like to do. It's my hobby, and I don't see how it's any different than spending tons of money of races/triathlons, sports leagues, skiing, bowling, etc. It's just part of me.

I also thought it would be really fun to go somewhere warm for my birthday. I figure, if I'm going to turn a year older, I might as well do it somewhere fun!

We have some really cool things planned, including a bio bay kayak tour at night, and a dinner tour. We are also going to take a puddle jumper one day to the island of Culebra. I had to give the woman taking reservations our weights, as apparently it matters on these little planes. haha. That should be an experience in itself!

This adventure will be different in that I won't be volunteering or working, but I think it will be just as fun!

Hasta Luego,

Hi Jamie, nice to hear from you again. I hope all is well. Haven't you done enough traveling lately?? :) Some people just cannot get enough I guess. The kayaking adventure sounds like alot of fun. I went a couple of times this summer and I really want to get into it (kayaking) alot more next year. Still playing a lot of volleyball....you missing it at all?? We'll have to pepper it up one of these days and grab some coffee if you're interested.

I could never do enough traveling! Yeah, I miss vball a bit. Wouldn't mind getting back into it. Coffee sounds good!
