Today's the day! Yippee!!!!!

It's 5:13 am, and Kate is picking me up at 7. Our flight leaves from Milwaukee at 11:15. We're going to drive and park in the super saver lot all week. We didn't want to mess with finding rides, which I think is a good idea. If all goes smoothly, we will be in Dallas-Fort Worth about 1:30 and then our flight to San Juan will leave around 4:30. We are expected to arrive in San Juan around 10:30 their time (they are an hour ahead). After collecting our luggage at baggage claim, we will rent a car and head to our resort.

I actually slept a good six hours, which is more than I thought I would. I didn't think I'd sleep a wink. I might go for a quick run as I'm too hyper to sit still, and I know I'll be sitting most of the day. Kate was at work until 9 pm last night. I know she is under some deadlines, so I hope she feels ok about being gone for a week.

I'm VERY disappointed that I could not locate my Swiss army knife (made in China). It's one of my traveling essentials, so I'm a little bummed I can't find it. And I highly doubt this is something airport gift shops are going to have on hand.

I'm very excited that my suitcase only weighs 40 pounds! Well, I still have to add my curling iron and make up bag, but I think that is a success. I know to males that might sound like a lot, but you never need to pack nearly as much as we females. I mean, what do you need? A few outfits, some deodorant, shaving stuff (if that), maybe some sunscreen, if you even bother with sunscreen? You don't need to bother with purses or accessories or make up.

Yesterday I took the day off to get some things done. I got a haircut, took Kelly to my mom and dad's, did some cleaning and got some last-minute items.

Puerto Rico here we come!
