Ring of Kerry, Skelligs Ring and Valentia Island

Limerick, Munster, Ireland
Tuesday was a day full of driving and seeing magnificent sights. We had sunny and clear weather, which was awesome and sometimes unheard of. Jen had to deal with a lot of narrow roads, one-lane bridges, and driving up big hills with curves. I think she might have grew a few gray hairs, but we managed to get to Limerick to check into the Strand Hotel.

The Ring of Kerry is a 179-km circular route along the Ivernaugh Peninsula, filled with cute towns, beaches, cliffs and beauty . Being in a car, we were also able to take Skelligs Ring even closer along the coast, where the tour buses aren't allowed. We took the bridge to Valentia Island (very tiny) and got ice cream at a dairy that produces their own milk from their own cows. On our way back to Limerick, we stopped in Askeaton, a medieval town with Desmond Castle built in 1199.

We were pretty tired when we got to Limerick last night, so had a nice dinner at the French Table, which was delish, and then hit the hay.

Everything is going well! U
