San Salvador, El Salvador
Today is the day! I am taking the
long journey from Green Bay to Milwaukee to O'Hare to El Salvador to
Panama City!
My parents dropped me off in Milwaukee
around 10:30
. I took the Coach USA shuttle from Milwaukee to ORD,
which I highly recommend. My backpack weighs 25 pounds, which
doesn't seem like a lot, but I will be carrying that around on my
back. Granted, there is some bottled water in there and some things
that will eventually go away or dwindle in weight. I tried to pack
as lightly as I could, but it was tough.
Check in at ORD was easy, and the
flight so far is going smoothly. I've been very impressed with
Avianca airlines so far. The customer service at the desk and in the
cabin has been great.
I just arrived in San
Salvador, where I will connect to Panama City. My arrival time is
11:50 pm, which I'm not nuts about, but there isn't much I can do
about that at this point. David from my home stay will be picking me
up, which makes me glad.
Hopefully when I write next, I will be
in my room in Panama City and getting settled in. Or about to hit
the hay.

With you so far, Jamie. Sounds good. The Badgers lost a heartbreaker in the Final Four tonight by 1 pt. to Kentucky. So very sad. They played hard, but it came down to the last seconds. Stay safe. Hugs.
