Today I said "Adios" to Salento and took a bus to the city of Pereira, where I took another short bus to the city of Manizales (Mon-i-sal-es). This city has about 500,000 people, so a bit larger than the other two. But I'm enjoying it. It has a beautiful cathedral and is surrounded by mountains. Chipre is a cool neighborhood that has incredible views, and after dinner I visited a thermal springs pool in town. It felt awesome! The tour of the cathedral included climbing 370+ steps to the very top for great views of the city. After doing Cocora yesterday, this was a cake walk. 

 The couple I'm staying with, Nestor and Maria Luiz, are super nice . It feels like I'm staying with my mom and dad, only in Colombia. I have to be up early tomorrow to catch a tour heading to Los Nevados National Park, so I'm going to keep this short. The pics are of my exploring in Manizales.
