Abigail firmly insisted that she had one condition if we were to stay in Cloncurry longer: she wanted a birthday party as she would be missing celebrations with her friends in Echuca!
Abigail's godmother Jill agreed and together she and Abigail created a birthday invitation and agreed on a cake design for this special event.
Abigail is fortunate to have made some beautiful friends very quickly at St Joseph's and she was thrilled to invite her new friends to her party.
It was a very simple party with rock painting and cookie and cake decorating stations. Throw in a fruit and cheese platter, a trampoline, new friends and the job is done!
Dad manned the BBQ cooking up some tasty treats for both the kids and adults. Godmother Jill didn't disappoint and Abigail was thrilled with her unicorn birthday cake. A good time was had by all!
Life has been busy, but fun in Cloncurry with us kids attending school and with mum and dad both working five days a week. In between all the adults helping out with the daily chores, they were all busy packing up a house as cousin Trev and Jill had just purchased a new house before our arrival. Their moving team had arrived!
Our new school also has many activities that we participated in. A colour fun run was a success and mum and Jill were very happy we were cycling home! We also happily met our fellow classmates at a local park for "Ride to School" day and we all cycled together to school, where some special treats were handed out when we arrived. Every Friday afternoon is Funtastic Friday and we were able to choose an activity to enjoy for the term. Jackson chose laser cutting and Abigail chose dance. Jackson made a cool sign for his bedroom. Abigail's class presented a prayer at assembly and Abigail was selected to read the final prayer.
The PCYC (Police Citizens Youth Club) was also a place we were to become very familar with. $2 netball sessions are held at the PCYC straight after school on a Monday and Jackson also attended some free after school "Chill Out" sessions. We both were excited to attend our first disco at the PCYC. Abigail even won the limbo competition twice!
We are missing our Granny and Pop and friends in Victoria, but we feel so lucky to be experiencing life in Cloncurry and the Outback.
