Day 2: Morro Bay to Point Reyes

Point Reyes Vineyards, California, United States
It was a beautiful morning in Morro Bay.  We decided to do breakfast out at Dorn's Breaker's Cafe which has great views of Morro rock.  Jerry had some nice blueberry pancakes and I had a bagel w/lox and the whole works.
Got on the road just before 9:00 am.  We took a side trip to Pinnacles Nat'l Park.  We walked a tiny bit on the Jawbone Trail near the (still closed due to COVID) Visitor's Centre.  Then a nice walk a little further down another section of the Jawbone Trail.
Back on Highway 101 North  a piece to Salinas.  Stopped at a Oaxacan restaurant and had a nice mole and some Modela Negras.  Then a few hours of stop and go traffic on the 880 around the East Bay (quick restroom break at an Office Depot in West Berkeley!) and into Marin County where we arrived at the Point Reyes Vineyard Winery and Inn.
It's a nice B&B on a back country road right near the entrance of the National Seashore.  There are cows grazing in the grass and a huge heron or crane.  We walked around the property a little for some nice views.  After the big lunch we just supped on cheese and crackers and I got a small bottle of a 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon which was divine.  Another couple staying here shared some of their Syrah which was really wonderful.
Just relaxing and watching the light fade on the hills outside.  Planning some walking around Pt Reyes tomorrow...
