Point Reyes Vineyards, California, United States
We spent the day going around Pt Reyes Nat'l Seashore today,  On the road by 9; it was a mixture of sun and clouds at the vineyard when we left.  We drove to the Bear Valley Visitor Centre (closed due to COVID) where there were several trail loops,  We took the Earthquake Trail which winds around a meadow of tall grasses and flowers.  It was a nice paved trail with some informational plaques about earthquakes.  The flowers were really pretty.  There was also a fence that got split and moved 16 feet apart.
We drove from there to the Pt Reyes Lighthouse parking lot,  The lighthouse is also closed as was the access road to it.  It was vert dense fog and very cold and windy.  We started to walk up the hill toward the lighthouse but it was so cold and windy and as socked in as it was,, we would have not seen the lighthouse which is down 300 steps from the top of the bluff.
From there we drove over to Chimney Rock and hiked a trail out to the lookout.  Lots of wildflowers in bloom; pinks, yellows, purples and blues.
By this time it was early afternoon so we drove to Due West restaurant for lunch.  I had a chicken fillet sandwich with arugula and avocado and some crispy fries; Jerry had a burger.  Great black beer called "Death and Taxes".
We didn't want to head back to the inn after lunch so we drove all the way out to the north end of Reyes Point and started the hike to McClure's Beach.  It was a long downward trail and we got about 2/3rds of the way down and Jerry was getting pretty tired and was thinking about the long hike uphill, so we turned around.
Decided to call it a day and came back to the inn.  Did stop at a local market and got a local brie cheese to go with the little mini bottle of Pinot Noir I got for tonight...
