It was very foggy this morning in Fort Bragg. We drove down to the Glass Beach, just so I could show Jerry. Then we went to the local Safeway for some fruits and what nots for breakfast the next few days. Went back to the motel and packed up.
Since it was almost 10 am, we decided to go to the Sea Glass museum. A nice collection of various coloured sea glass and other stuff from the deep briny. Then we were on the road and up the coast via Hwy 1, A stop here and there at vista points, then a lunch in Redway at The Lost Frenchman. We both had these really good BLT sandwiches with thick bacon and bleu cheese. A good IPA on the side to compliment the meal.
We arrived in Shelter Cove at 230; a tad shy of check in so we strolled a bit. We are staying at the Ocean Front Inn, on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the crashing surf. We were last here around 2005 and stayed at the property next door; a very cool place with a little watchtower lookout. It's now a private house but weird that we are right next door.
Have spent the afternoon watching the waves....
