We had a lazy morning since our plan was to go to the Baldwin Hotel Museum in Klamath Falls; they don't open until 10 so we lounged around the room reading, etc. Headed to the museum and we got a tour of this old hotel built into the side of a basalt hill in the early 1900s. Very interesting; there are 4 floors and they have rooms that are themed with artifacts from the early 20th century. One room was set up like a barber shop, a dry goods store, a lawyer's office, a photography studio, etc. On the upper floors, originally there were offices with attached rooms where businessmen could have an office and a living space. One of the daughters of the original hotel owners was a photographer, so there was a lot of her old photographic equipment; cameras, dark room stuff, etc.
We had some panini sandwiches at the Mermaid Cafe down the street from the museum and then got on the road to Medford. We took the Dead Indian Memorial Road which winds through beautiful pine forests. Arrived in Medford around 330.
We headed over to Jerry's brother Jim's house around 430 and had a nice lamb taco dinner with him and his wife Eleanor as well as Jerry's nephew Jeremy and his wife Andi. We stayed until 930 or so and also enjoyed some margarita's that Jim made.
Not a lot of photos today...
